Allsteel Beyond is a unitized demountable partition system; the floor-to-ceiling wall panels arrive at site complete with final finishes already attached. This represents a significant consolidation of trades and presents an opportunity for schedule compression.

Powder-coated painted steel tiles attach to a fully insulated aluminum-framed base panel. This assembly has an STC consistent with conventional insulated drywall construction, so there is no acoustic compromise with a modular build.

The powder-coated paint is custom matched to Standford Health Care’s standard specification: Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee. Accent walls are Benjamin Moore Iron Gate.

In-panel power and data conduits and junction boxes are pre-installed at the factory and tiles are ported for j-box access; electrical and low-voltage connections are made above the ceiling grid by general contractor’s subcontractor. Outlets and covers are provided by general contractor.

Steel tiles are also magnetic, which presents an opportunity to affix many fixtures with magnets versus conventional attachment methods. This enables unprecedented ease of installation and relocation of many standard exam room fixtures, reducing the need to deface panel tiles at anchorage points.

Should a tile become damaged, or a different surface material be desired, the panel can be replaced in a matter of minutes with no mess rather than the multiple steps required to repair drywall; and all tile components are recyclable.
