The standard tile has been modified to accommodate the top edge of a 4” high cove base tucking behind the face of the tile such that the face of the tile overlaps the top of the cove base. This customization creates a drip edge at the base of the panel tile, concealing the top edge of the cove base, eliminating the opportunity for fluid to accumulate or penetrate the panel behind the cove base.

The purpose of this design is to maintain the modularity of the installed product, easing future reconfiguration by preserving the non-progressive nature of the wall panels and not defacing the tiles with surface-applied cove base. This method for integrating cove base allows panel tiles to be replaced with out interrupting the cove base.
